The mum, living as a council tenant, is fed up with the lack of effective support and desperately wishes for a fresh start. “We’ve tried everything: speaking to the council, pest controllers, but the rats just keep coming back. My kids are scared, and my heart breaks seeing their distress,” she shared. 🐀
The infestation isn’t just a nuisance; it’s destroying their home and peace of mind. From chewing through food cupboards to keeping the family up at night, these pesky intruders are relentless. Their presence is so invasive that even baby milk cartons aren’t safe anymore! For one of her children, who is autistic, the sensory overload of noise and smells is incredibly distressing. 💔
After years of battling this invasion, the council did suggest an alternative home miles away, but the commute would be unmanageable, especially without a car. “We’re desperate for an escape, a chance for my kids to grow up without this constant anxiety. But moving far away isn’t an option with school and our support network here,” the mum said. 🚗✋
