Funaki, the Tongan powerhouse, arrived with high hopes in the summer of 2024 from Super Rugby. However, an unfortunate knee injury plagued his arrival, which only got trickier with an infection. He managed to showcase his skills in Super Rygbi Cymru fixtures for Pontypool and Newport but was sidelined again due to a pesky shoulder injury. 😟
