Man Accused of Domestic Violence Urges Injured Partner to Shower Off Evidence of Attack

A horrifying story of domestic violence has emerged, where a 40-year-old man, Lee Evans, brutally attacked his partner, leaving her in need of surgery. After accusing her of infidelity, he attacked her in a fit of rage. The violent incident took place at his grandmother’s house in Ferndale, and things took a dark turn when he told her to clean off the blood in the shower.

The couple had been together for four years, but the relationship grew toxic, with Evans displaying increasingly controlling behaviour. This culminated in an assault where he ran at her, punching her forehead. As she struggled with dizziness and fear, Evans’ remorse was hollow, characterised by self-pity rather than genuine concern. He sinisterly warned her during an argument, saying he’d kill her next time.

Following this ordeal, the victim sought medical attention, downplaying her injuries as a fall. Despite Evans’ attempts to patch things up and the victim’s apparent attempts to forgive, fear and trauma lingered. Her struggles with anxiety, depression, and physical pain have been ongoing repercussions of this abusive relationship.

In court, Evans admitted to assault and controlling/coercive behaviour, with a track record of domestic violence against former partners. The judge condemned him for his appalling history and sentenced him to two years and nine months in jail, with a restraining order for 12 years.
