Kevin described rolling to a halt at nearly 1 a.m. with the battery at 0% as a “fantastic feeling.” The journey, under the watchful eye of Guinness adjudicator Paulina Sapinska, was independently verified with meticulous data.

The team shared their top tips for maximising fuel efficiency: keep unnecessary weight out of the car, ensure tyres are properly inflated, drive gently, and avoid harsh braking or acceleration. The SUV journey took nearly 23 hours, with the drivers switching every three hours to stay sharp. They even squeezed an extra 8 miles from the car after the battery hit 0% before reaching a charger!

The Polestar UK MD, Matt Galvin, praised the achievement, lauding the significant advances in battery range. With rapid charging of up to 250kW, those myths of EVs not going far need rethinking!

Despite some rain and unexpected road closures, the journey was a testament to teamwork. Richard Parker thanked their supportive co-pilots and quick-thinking navigation for keeping them on track.

Their record highlights just how far electric vehicles have come. 🌍🔋 Ready to rethink your next road trip? 🚘💨
