A disturbing case has emerged from Swansea Crown Court, where delivery driver Abdul Kadir received a 20-year sentence for horrendous crimes. Kadir, 54, was found guilty of raping and sexually assaulting two young girls, who were forcibly taken to his prayer room and abused repeatedly. The court heard how these innocent children, who had moved to the UK without their mothers, were subjected to unspeakable crimes, leaving them with untold mental and physical scars.

The judge didn’t mince his words, describing Kadir’s actions as cruel and depraved, using his position to manipulate and control the girls through intimidation. He promised dire consequences if they spoke out, threatening them with shame and dishonour. Despite Kadir’s attempts to deny the allegations, crucial evidence and brave testimonies revealed the truth.

The abuse’s devastating impact on the girls extends far beyond the physical, leaving them battling nightmares, panic attacks, and a deep-seated fear of men. It’s heartbreaking to hear they now question if they’ll ever lead normal lives, haunted by the stigma and psychological trauma inflicted upon them.
The court’s decision brings justice, yet the path ahead for these traumatised young victims is long as they try to rebuild their lives. Our community must rally around them and all victims of abuse to provide support and understanding.
