😷 New Mask Rules Alert! 😷

Attention everyone in Wales! If you’re visiting hospitals in the Newport, Caerphilly, Torfaen, Monmouthshire, or Blaenau Gwent areas, be prepared to mask up! 🏥 Aneurin Bevan University Health Board has introduced mandatory face masks for all staff, patients, and visitors. This measure comes in response to a surge in winter illnesses.
Why the new rule? The health board wants to curb the spread of illnesses during the flu season and keep everyone safe. Public Health Wales is also urging folks to get their flu jabs this winter to protect against serious complications. 💉

Here’s what you need to know:
– Masks are required in all hospital locations – including A&E, wards, and clinics.

– You can grab a mask at the entrance if you don’t have one.
– Keep your visit short and sweet and contact the ward before visiting a patient.
To keep our communities safe, let’s all commit to:
✔️ Wearing masks in hospital settings
✔️ Washing hands regularly
✔️ Getting flu and Covid-19 boosters if eligible
Let’s band together to protect each other and stay healthy this winter! Share this update with friends, and stay safe! ❤️✨
