🚨 Big Bust: Crime Boss Ordered to Pay Back His Millions in Merthyr Tydfil 🚨

Kerry Evans, the mastermind behind a massive drug operation in south Wales, has been slapped with a £198k repayment order after raking in over £3 million through illegal means. At just 35, Evans orchestrated a scheme that funneled £72 million worth of heroin and cocaine between the north of England and Merthyr Tydfil. But justice has caught up with him!
Evans led a network that operated on a scale you’d think was straight out of a movie, moving tonnes of Class A drugs and employing a range of operators from street couriers to top-level distributors. This operation wasn’t just a small gig; we’re talking about a well-knit gang dealing from industrial levels right down to street payouts, with a staggering 600kg of drugs mixed and moved.

Caught by the efforts of regional crime busters Tarian, nearly 15kg of drugs were seized, with a street value totalling £1.5 million! Evans, known as a regional manager in this illegal enterprise, had his hands in nearly every interaction, acting as the main go-between for his entire crew.
Accomplices included Lloyd Jones, a trusted member caught with 5kg of heroin, who got caught after an ambitious retrieval operation using a crane. Then there were Jason and Heather Flannigan from Bolton, who were partners in crime delivering goods and facing their sentences too.
Cardiff Crown Court delivered some hefty sentences: Evans received 14 years and five months, Jones eight years and ten months, while the Flannigans received seven years and eight months, and four years and three months, respectively. Despite Evans’ criminal profits of nearly £3.8 million, he’s only being asked to return £198k in assets. Failing to do so could add an extra two years to his existing sentence.
The takeaway? Crime doesn’t pay…at least not for long! Stay tuned for more updates from the courtroom and beyond. ⚖️👮♂️
