In January 2019, Bella sought help at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital but was sent home. Her condition worsened as she struggled with eating and unexplained weight gain. Determined to discover the truth, Bella returned to the hospital in November 2019, leading to an endoscopy that unveiled a 6cm tumour in her stomach. She was diagnosed with Gastro-Intestinal Stromal Tumour (GIST), a rare cancer. 🏥

Bella’s fight began with surgery in February 2020, removing 70% of her stomach. For five years, she powered through life’s challenges, hoping her cancer was part of the past. But in October 2025, a routine scan revealed the cancer was back, this time in her liver. 💪

Reflecting on her journey, Bella shares, “At first, I was shocked because after five years, you think it’s a part of your life you can put behind you. I was very shocked, me and my mum and dad were devastated. This time it felt different. I think you worry when it comes back.”

With no standard treatment available, surgery remains her only hope. Throughout her ordeal, Bella has become a beacon of resilience, embracing her scars with pride, even as the fight continues. 🤍

Her story underlines the importance of listening to your body and trusting your instincts. Bella’s journey is a reminder that advocacy for your own health is crucial. To everyone facing their battles, remember: you are not alone. 🌈
