🔥 The summer of 2025 has officially sizzled its way into the record books as the hottest ever in Wales! According to the Met Office, this summer’s average temperature reached a balmy 16.06°C, surpassing the previous record set in 1995. 🌡️☀️

July 12 marked the hottest day, with temperatures soaring to a scorching 33.1°C in Cardiff! And just when you thought it couldn’t get any hotter, Hawarden in Flintshire recorded a record-breaking August bank holiday Monday at 29.6°C!

This summer wasn’t just about heat—Wales also faced one of its driest and sunniest seasons since 2022, with only 79% of average summer rainfall gracing the land. The prolonged dry spell left some regions with drought conditions, affecting water bodies and local events.
But don’t worry, there’s a silver lining! Cooler days with showers are on the horizon, promising some much-needed relief for our parched landscapes and farmers. 🌧️🌿
Get ready for some wet and windy times as an area of low pressure is set to sweep across Wales, especially on Wednesday. Though no warnings are currently in place, it’s always wise to keep an eye on the weather updates.
