π§οΈβ οΈ Weather Alert for Wales! β οΈπ§οΈ

Get ready for a wet and wild weekend! The Met Office has updated its yellow weather warning, cautioning us about potential flooding across Wales this Saturday. π
Six flood alerts have popped up, targeting spots like the Gower peninsula, Western Cleddau, rivers Taf and Cynin, as well as several catchments in north Wales. Natural Resources Wales is sounding the alarm: river levels are on the rise due to heavy rain, and some areas might see their properties and roads flooded. π§οΈπ§

The Met Office warns: “Very wet today with heavy rain and possible flooding.” Persistent rain could spell travel disruptions, so plan accordingly and stay safe! ππ§

Areas like Bridgend, Carmarthenshire, Gwynedd, and many more are affected. Between 20-30 mm of rain is likely in many areas, with some spots potentially seeing a whopping 60-80 mm. π§οΈπ¦
But wait, thereβs light at the end of the tunnel! After the rain, an area of high pressure is set to bring calmer weather next week. π€οΈ Expect a mix of sunny spells and showers on Sunday, with much drier conditions arriving on Monday. High pressure will be our friend, bringing sunshine and cooler temps with some rural frosts possible overnight. βοΈβοΈ
Stay dry and safe, folks! Keep an eye on weather updates and take precautions if you’re in the affected areas. Share this post to let everyone know what’s coming! π£β¨
