**Mimi Xu Savours Wimbledon Debut Despite Loss to Raducanu**
Seventeen-year-old tennis prospect Mimi Xu has described her first taste of the Wimbledon main draw as “unforgettable” despite a straight-sets loss to British No.1, Emma Raducanu.
Xu, who hails from Swansea and now trains at the National Tennis Centre in Loughborough, entered this year’s tournament as a wild card. She faced the formidable challenge of Raducanu in the first round and ultimately went down 6-3, 6-3. “The doubles is a wonderful opportunity,” Xu explained ahead of her next match. “It will be great to go back out there with Ella — we get on really well off the court so it’s about enjoying it, giving our best, and learning from every moment. Whatever the outcome, if we can savour the experience, that’s already a win for us.”
