Vishwash Kumar Ramesh is living proof of miracles. As the only survivor of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad, which took 241 lives, including his brother Ajay’s, Vishwash describes his ordeal as both miraculous and devastating. Though he’s grateful to be alive, the loss of his brother has overshadowed his survival. 💔

Vishwash, who resides in Leicester, is still haunted by the crash, experiencing relentless flashbacks and sleepless nights. He bravely shares that the tragedy “brought down” his family, leaving them emotionally shattered. His brother was his rock, and without him, life feels incomplete.

The crash, which claimed the lives of 169 Indian and 52 British citizens, is noted as one of the deadliest involving British nationals. The aircraft, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, lost control moments after take-off, leading to speculation it might have been intentional as a result of critical engine fuel supply failures.
Vishwash’s representatives have called out Air India for treating victims’ families impersonally, almost like “names on a spreadsheet.” There’s a plea to Air India’s CEO, Campbell Wilson, for a personal meeting to address this pressing issue and ensure better care for all affected.
Air India has stated its commitment to supporting the families and acknowledged an interim payment to Vishwash. They claim they’ve reached out for more dialogue, hoping for a positive response.
Despite everything, Vishwash is thankful for the support of his extended family and friends who help him cope daily. But the pain of losing Ajay and the lack of sleep due to flashbacks remain constant challenges. Wearing a New York Yankees cap in memory of Ajay, who often wore the same, Vishwash reflects on happier times with his brother, wishing he could turn back time. âš¾
Our hearts go out to Vishwash and all the families affected by this devastating event. Let’s hope for healing and that the necessary support will soon be in place for all involved. 💪 #AirIndiaTragedy #FamilyFirst #MiracleSurvivor
