Heartbreaking News from Withernsea 🌊
In a shocking turn of events, a mother and daughter were tragically swept out to sea by massive waves in Withernsea. Sarah Keeling, 45, and her young daughter Grace, 15, have been named by the police as the victims of this devastating incident. The waves, reported to be towering over 12 feet, caught them off-guard on a day that began like any other.
The situation turned even more tragic as Mark Ratcliffe, a courageous 67-year-old passer-by, lost his life trying to save Grace. Sarah and Mark’s bodies have tragically been recovered, but the search for Grace continues with hopes and prayers for closure.
Grace had been standing on the beach steps watching the powerful waves when an unexpected surge swept her away. Despite Sarah’s immediate attempt to rescue her daughter, the ferocity of the sea was insurmountable.
