**Terrifying E-Bike Robbery Leaves 13-Year-Old Traumatised in Liverpool**
A typical evening turned into a nightmare for a young boy and his friends in Liverpool. The 13-year-old was ambushed by a group of masked youths allegedly armed with knives during an e-bike robbery outside Aldi on Lorenzo Drive, Norris Green.
It was around 7:40pm when the boy’s mum received a frantic call from her son. Over the phone, she could hear him screaming, “they’re trying to stab me.” Imagining her worst fears, she and her husband were helplessly glued to the call, unable to reach him immediately.
The ordeal began when the teenager and his pals were confronted by three masked individuals. Brandishing knives, the assailants demanded the boys’ electric bikes. In a brave attempt to escape the situation, the terrified boy threw his bike at the attackers and bolted, narrowly dodging a slash aimed at him.
His mother recounted the chilling moment, revealing how their son was later found shaken but thankfully unharmed. She couldn’t shake the thought of what could have happened if their younger son, who had just been to the shop with his brother, had been there too.
The incident has left the boy deeply traumatised, constantly reliving the terrifying encounter. He’s made it clear to his mum that he’s done with bikes, saying he can’t have anything nice in his neighbourhood. His mum lamented the growing fears of knife crime and street gangs, sharing that her son’s once-loved activities are now overshadowed by fear.
The attackers were described as being fully clad in black clothing, gloves, and balaclavas, making them indistinguishable. The mum expressed disbelief that such figures could roam freely without police intervention.
Merseyside Police are actively investigating the incident and are appealing to the public for any information. Detective Inspector Lee Egerton emphasised the recklessness of carrying knives and expressed their determination to hold the culprits accountable.
