In a scene straight out of an action movie, a driver was captured on dashcam pulling off a risky three-point turn on the bustling Gabalfa roundabout. This daring manoeuvre was caught by Martin Edwards, whose company’s dashcams frequently capture city road shenanigans. 🚙🎥
It was late on Thursday night when the driver, seemingly lost, miss their exit. Instead of continuing on, they shockingly decided to turn back amidst active traffic! The vehicle began the turn in a left-only lane clearly marked and separated by double white lines. This sent a shockwave through those who witnessed it — including a cyclist nearby! 🚴♂️
Martin, reflecting on the surreal moment, said, “I was hoping there wasn’t a car in the outside lane. It could have been chaos.” According to the Highway Code, double white lines are not to be crossed except in rare cases. Crossing them here could have ended in disaster.
