🚧 Heads up, drivers! 🚧 Get ready for a bit of a shuffle on the roads this week as some roadworks and closures are planned on the M4. If you’re hitting Wales’ busiest highway, you might want to check these updates to avoid surprises! 🛣️
📍 On the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge, they’re sprucing things up with some much-needed re-waterproofing and resurfacing. They’ll try to keep traffic flowing with two lanes in both directions, but you can always take the M48 Severn Bridge as a detour. Expect this to wrap up by autumn.
🚛 Meanwhile, keep in mind that the M48 Severn Bridge has a temporary weight limit for lorries due to ongoing maintenance, but buses and coaches are good to go until May 2026.
🌳 In Cardiff, work is underway to tackle some hazardous trees between J33 (Cardiff West Interchange) and the Prince of Wales Bridge. This is set to finish by January 2026.
🔧 Need to cross the Coryton Bridges? They’ve got some essential resurfacing happening, expected to conclude in January 2026 too.
🚧 And between Bridgend and Neath Port Talbot, watch for works between J37 (Pyle/Porthcawl) and J38 (Margam). They’re keeping two lanes open during the day but will have overnight closures. Expect this to continue until November 30th.
