🚨 Dramatic Sea Rescue at Aberavon Beach 🚨
In a tense evening at Aberavon Beach, a brave rescue mission unfolded when a group of youngsters found themselves in deep trouble at sea. Alerted by a vigilant bystander around 8:30 pm, coastguards, along with police, ambulance, and dedicated local volunteers, sprang into action to save the day. 🌊
The children were in “serious difficulty” near the slipway. Using throw lines and sheer courage, rescue teams managed to pull them to safety. Three ambulances rushed to the scene, and two children received immediate hospital care, while four others made their own way for medical attention. 🏥
A spokesperson stated, “HM Coastguard co-ordinated the rescue, with Port Talbot RNLI Lifeboat, Porthcawl Coastguard Rescue Teams, and emergency services working tirelessly on scene.” The Coastguard praised their team’s determination, emphasising their fearless efforts in facing the rising danger.
The rescue marks the team’s third successful water rescue in recent times, having saved nine lives to date. 🏊♂️
