Exciting plans are on the horizon near St Clears! 🚗🏕️ New holiday lodges and caravan pitches could soon be popping up just off the A40, along with a bigger petrol station shop. Ascona Retail Ltd is looking to transform the Forge Motel and service station area into a modern getaway spot, complete with 14 holiday lodges and 10 touring caravan pitches.
The new petrol station shop will be nearly three times larger than before, and drivers will appreciate the addition of a brand new HGV fuelling lane. 🌲🏞️ The site will keep its natural charm with existing hedges and trees, except for some diseased ash that will be replaced. Plus, they’re planning to plant even more greenery!
A small toilet and shower building is also on the cards to cater to caravan guests. 🛁🚿 While planning permission is already in place for redevelopment, Ascona aims to tweak things a bit by reducing caravan pitches from 33 to 10, making room for more lodges.
Local feedback has been heard, including calls for secure fencing due to neighbouring livestock and concerns about possible fly-tipping. And rest assured, environmental responsibilities are being taken seriously with commitments to address questions from Natural Resources Wales.
