Local residents have expressed concerns about noise and vibrations. In response, the council insists on a thorough plan to minimise any disruption. They’re keen on making sure the area remains as peaceful as possible during the process. ✨
The Cardiff Community Housing Association is behind this new proposal. They assure locals that other community facilities are nearby, including another Salvation Army centre just a short walk away on East Moors Road. So, it seems like the community spirit will carry on! 👫🏾🏠
Looking back, the building has quite a history! Once a police station in the 70s, it later became a hub for various religious and community activities. But as they say, onwards and upwards!
The considerate demolition plan proposes work hours from 8:00 to 17:30 on weekdays, ensuring minimal disruption during rush hours. 🚦
The good news? The old New Fleurs nightclub site is set to provide parking and a “layover” area during the works – planning ahead!
