🚨 Vape Shop Crackdown Hits Swansea! 🚨

Eight vape shops around Swansea are temporarily shuttered after a major crackdown by trading standards officers, working hand in hand with the local council and police. 🚔 Suspected of selling illegal nicotine products, these businesses won’t be opening their doors for a while.

Earlier this month, a series of raids targeted 14 shops, with swift 48-hour closure orders placed on nine. Now, eight of those orders are extended to three whole months! Here’s the lineup facing the extended closure:
– Bob CBD Vapes, 29 Union Street
– Snoop Vapes, 71 High Street
– Asia Vapes, 40 St Helen’s Road
– Bob Marley Vapes, 75 St Helen’s Road
– Crystal Vapes, 95 Gorseinon High Street
– Kubus Vapes, 31b St Helen’s Road
– World of Vapes, 89 St Teilo Street, Pontarddulais
– Morriston Minimarket, 86 Woodfield Street
During these raids, authorities confiscated an eye-watering stash: 971 packs of illicit cigarettes, nearly 1,000 packets of hand-rolling tobacco, and over 2,200 vapes. And it didn’t end there—they even discovered five “stash cars” full of black-market goods, some involving cannabis! 🚗💨
Ten people found themselves in handcuffs, facing charges from fraudulent trading to drug possession. One individual caught with cannabis is already charged.
While Monsoon Vapes managed to escape a closure order, it wasn’t all smiles as they temporarily lost nearly £3,500 in cash due to suspicions it was tied to unlawful dealings. 💰
This isn’t just a legal story; it’s a reminder of the risks involved in buying and selling products from unverified sources. Stay savvy, Swansea! 🌍💡
