🚨 Shocking News Alert: Paedophile Jailed for Online Exploitation 🚨

Rowan Barnett-Davies, a 24-year-old from Hirwaun, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for a string of horrifying online crimes. Posing as a teenager, he manipulated over 20 young girls into sending indecent images, then used these to blackmail them for more. His actions left a trail of devastation among his victims, who were as young as 11.

Despite pretending to be a 15-year-old, Barnett-Davies contacted around 120 young girls across the UK, distributing their images to other predators online. At Newport Crown Court, it was revealed that police found over 2,000 indecent images in his possession. Shockingly, he even paid some of the victims for more images.

The court heard the heartbreaking stories of victims who felt betrayed and forever scarred. One victim’s change in behaviour, noticed by her mother, tragically led to self-harm.
Judge Daniel Williams condemned Barnett-Davies, stating he had a deep-rooted interest in exploiting young girls and left an “unimaginable trail of misery.” He described the victims’ feelings of betrayal, embarrassment, and hurt as unimaginable.
Barnett-Davies will also be under extended licence for four years after his release and is subject to strict monitoring to prevent any future offences.
This case serves as a sobering reminder of the dangers lurking online and the importance of protecting young, vulnerable individuals from such predators. Stay vigilant and report any suspicious online activities. Stay safe, everyone! 🙏 #OnlineSafety #JusticeServed #ProtectOurKids
