From Teaching and Trims to a Thriving Coffee Dream! ☕️✨

Meet Mike and Denis, two Welsh go-getters who swapped their daily grind for a caffeine-fueled adventure! Tired of their mundane 9-to-5s as a hairdresser and a primary school teacher, they took a leap of faith in 2022. They sold everything, re-mortgaged their home, and transformed a modest trailer into Coffi Kitoko, a little coffee shop with big aspirations.

Determined yet a bit nervous, they poured their hearts and a lot of sweat equity into chasing their vision. The journey wasn’t a walk in the park. From juggling five jobs between them to attending coffee-making classes, every step was a lesson learned. Their passion brewed at their first event at Weston Beach Race, where despite their nerves, throngs of coffee lovers welcomed them with open arms—and empty mugs!

Fast forward two adventurous years, and Coffi Kitoko is now a beloved staple in Cwmbran, outshining even the high street giants! They’ve gone from their trusty trailer to opening a vibrant café at Mamhilad Business Park. Here, you can savour barista-crafted drinks and a delicious menu in a bright, welcoming space.
Their menu, rich with local Welsh produce, features delightful options from Coaltown Coffee in Ammanford to Angel Bakery in Abergavenny. Their café is more than just a place to grab coffee—it’s a community hotspot, perfect for unwinding or getting some work done.
Mike and Denis are all about their customers, often reminiscing about their journey. They’re grateful for the support and community that rallied around them, making Coffi Kitoko what it is today. And though they say they’d do things differently now, they wouldn’t trade their story for the world.
Catch Coffi Kitoko at Mamhilad or pop by their bustling Cwmbran location to experience a coffee adventure like no other. Who knew quitting could taste so good? 🌟
