Tensions ran high at Malaga Airport last night as chaos erupted on an EasyJet flight bound for Liverpool. The drama unfolded when passengers waiting to board heard alarming “shouting and screaming.” Witnesses reported that three individuals, who appeared “very intoxicated,” were escorted off by staff and Spanish police.
The fallout? The crew, left “traumatised” by the disruptive scene, were unable to continue their duties, and the flight was abruptly cancelled. Hundreds of holidaymakers, including families and older travellers, found themselves stranded with no accommodation, struggling to rebook via a glitchy app.
One traveller, Gaynor Loguellou, described the stress: “We were feet away from our flight with two babies and no help from staff. It completely ruined our holiday.”
James Holt, another affected passenger, echoed the sentiment: “It left a sour taste after a nice holiday, having to scramble for any place to stay.”
An EasyJet spokesperson stated the incident was “outside of their control” and reiterated their commitment to passenger safety and support, adding that they are working to address the concerns raised by affected customers.
