Did you know that substantial work across the UK and particularly in Wales is still needed? Men dominate board roles in national governing bodies, meaning vital decisions about women’s sport often lack female input. We believe representation shapes outcomes, and it’s time for change.
Many teenage girls disengage from sports due to fear of judgement, lack of confidence, and inappropriate facilities. This early exclusion impacts their chances to lead, coach, or sit on boards later in life.
Women’s experiences in sport should mirror the diversity of our society. More women with disabilities, from various ethnic backgrounds, and with different sexual and gender identities need to be seen and heard. Without this, meaningful change remains elusive.
