🎬💰 Think your old DVDs are worth a mint? Think again! Cayle Marklew was in for a surprise when he decided to cash in on his DVD collection at CeX. Armed with 100 DVDs of popular films and series like Twilight, he set off to see what his stash could fetch him.
At the first CeX, he only made £3.78 from half his collection, and the shop wouldn’t even take the rest! Not one to back down, Cayle gave it another shot at a second CeX outlet on Stafford Street, Hanley. The second trip didn’t fare much better, with a voucher for just £3.79 in return. In total, he walked away with a mere £7.20 for 100 DVDs!
The real shocker? Some folks are snagging bargains left and right. One person shared they bought 30 DVDs for just £1.50! Another TikToker chimed in, saying that they’d given up on pawning DVDs after getting a pitiful £2.54 for 50 discs.
So, if you’re thinking of decluttering your DVD stash, it might be worth considering taking them to a charity shop or gifting them to a friend instead.
