The incident happened around 6.30 pm near the Ernest Willows Wetherspoons. Jake, despite being badly hurt, managed to get home and then sought treatment at A&E. He recalled how a simple trip to buy some Turkish cakes ended in chaos: “The shopping went everywhere… But I managed to still come back with her cakes.”

Jake’s ordeal has left him with torn ligaments and whiplash, impacting his work and family life, particularly with his daughter Kamarie, who asks if the police have caught the man. “I walk that crossing every day, and now I’m terrified,” he shared.

Despite repeatedly contacting the police, Jake feels his case hasn’t been properly addressed. He’s urging authorities to check CCTV footage to catch the driver responsible.

This distressing event serves as a reminder of the unpredictability on our roads and the importance of staying vigilant. Stay safe out there, Cardiff!
