🚨 Breaking News: More Arrests Made After Tragic Dog Attack 🚨

Heartbreak continues in Rogiet after a devastating XL bully attack took the life of a nine-month-old baby, Jonte William Bluck, last November. Recently, a man and a woman from Chepstow were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. They’ve been released under investigation as police dive deeper into the incident.
Last year, two other individuals from Rogiet were arrested over suspicions of managing a dangerously out-of-control dog causing injury and death. They are still on police bail as the investigation moves forward.

Assistant Chief Constable Vicki Townsend stressed the community’s keen interest in the matter but urged everyone to refrain from speculation, especially online. It’s vital to remember how damaging this can be to ongoing investigations. Our hearts go out to all affected by this tragic event.
The dog involved was a six-year-old XL bully, a breed now banned, with a certificate of exemption issued before the tragic incident. This has left the close-knit community mourning. Local Councillor Peter Strong describes the situation as “overwhelmingly awful.”
If you have any information that could aid in the investigation, please reach out to Gwent Police using log reference 2500349915.
