Our favourite powerhouse voice, Jessie J, recently faced another unexpected trip to the hospital. After undergoing breast cancer surgery just weeks ago, the singer encountered an “infection” and “a little fluid” on her lungs. Jessie, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, has thankfully managed to discharge herself and is continuing her recovery at home.
In an Instagram update, she opened up about her journey: “Six weeks post-surgery, I found myself back in the ward. Unexpected and unplanned.” Though tests hinted at a blood clot, she was relieved to find it’s not the case. Instead, she’s dealing with other symptoms which the doctors are still figuring out.
Her return to the hospital has been a bump in the road for Jessie, making her career plans more challenging. However, the resilient artist remains optimistic and shared, “The recovery is far from quick or easy, and it’s been the most challenging time for me, especially being a mum to my toddler.”
Jessie highlights the importance of patience, saying it’s been a reminder to “slow down.” She added, “As an ADHD Aries, fire-breathing dragon, I love being active, but I can’t right now. I’m finding strength in adjusting to a slower pace with the support of my inner circle.”
Jessie, a mum to her adorable son Sky, continues to inspire with her strength and positive attitude. Her journey hasn’t been easy, but she keeps pushing forward, proving that even the toughest challenges can be faced with grace and determination.
