Many, like Alison Williams, are outraged, stating, “Paying for the privilege of being booted off is just disgusting.” With costs of moving or scrapping caravans ranging from £1,500 to £4,000, it’s a hefty and unexpected expense.

Happy Valley is more than just a holiday spot—it’s home to a close-knit community. People’s lives have been intertwined here for generations. “It’s a home from home,” says Amanda Jayne, from the Rhondda, who, with her husband, spends every summer there. “Nobody wants to leave… We’ve always looked out for one another.”

Lisa Powell, who bought her caravan just last year, is heartbroken: “We paid £7,500 and lost everything. How can they give us a few weeks’ notice?”

Residents from the unaffected residential site are also worried, fearing they may be next. Wendy Boylin, who’s been part of this community for 34 years, said, “There’s nowhere else for us to go.”

This shocking closure has left many scrambling for solutions, with no word from the management, LT Management Services, apart from the official closure notice. For now, the vibrant and connected community at Happy Valley faces an uncertain future. 🌳🏕️💔
