A chilling court case has revealed the terrifying ordeal of a woman who was strangled by her partner while 32 weeks pregnant. Harley Mathews, from Llantwit Major, lost his temper in a fit of unfounded jealousy, suspecting his partner of infidelity due to her phone usage. The victim recounted her harrowing experience, stating, “I feared for my life. I thought I was going to die. I was carrying his child at the time. It’s absolutely sickening.”

The incident occurred on July 3 when Mathews violently confronted his partner, demanding she go into the bedroom before pushing her and ultimately strangling her. Despite her pleas, he continued his assault until she feared for her survival.
