🌿🏡 Plans for New Homes in St Dogmaels Withdrawn! 🏡🌿

A proposed development for 29 new homes in the charming Pembrokeshire village of St Dogmaels, perched near the Ceredigion border, has been called off. Submitted by Obsidian Homes Ltd and supported by Amity Planning, the ambitious plan included two affordable homes on farmland off Longdown Bank at the village’s south-eastern edge.

Initially aimed at providing much-needed housing, with a promise of affordable units blending seamlessly with market-sale homes, the proposal was designed to foster a harmonious and diverse community. Tucked within St Dogmaels’ boundaries, the application came after rigorous consultations in 2022. These discussions tackled pedestrian connections, landscaping, Welsh language considerations, and housing types.
The development envisioned a vibrant continuation of the village, offering varied home sizes from two to five bedrooms. It promised green and blue spaces, revamped woodlands, ecological spaces, sustainable drainage features, and areas for play and recreation—a true blend of nature and modern living.
Despite the comprehensive plan, it’s now been withdrawn. What are your thoughts on this decision? Let us know in the comments below. 🌳🗣️
