**Sad News from Cwmbran: Body Found Near River**
In a heart-wrenching update, police searching for missing 78-year-old Robin Lewis have sadly discovered a body near the Afon Lwyd River in Ponthir. Robin had been missing from Cwmbran since 13th November.
Back in November, just days after he was reported missing, Robin was last spotted in the Cwmbran town centre, with his final known whereabouts being outside Morrisons petrol station. Tragically, despite a major search involving police, coastguard, and volunteers, there was no sign of him until now.
On January 4th, search and rescue teams returned to the river area, leading to this unfortunate discovery. While formal identification is pending, authorities strongly believe it to be Robin. His family has been informed, and police have stated that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
