π’ Exciting Update from Coney Beach Amusement Park π‘

After a worrying incident earlier this week, Coney Beach in Porthcawl is set to reopen its doors this Friday! The amusement park had to temporarily close after the Wacky Worm ride derailed, resulting in injuries to 14 individuals, including 13 children and one adult. Thankfully, everyone is on the road to recovery. π

Videos shared online showed the scary moments when the rear carriage of the family-friendly ride stopped hanging off the track. Swift action from bystanders and emergency services helped the injured, solidifying the sense of community and bravery in challenging times. π
The park has confirmed that the ride involved isnβt owned by them but was a third-party attraction. They’ve apologised for the inconvenience and assured customers that refunds will be provided swiftly. Keep an eye out for instructions if you were affected. π·
Inspections by the Health and Safety Executive have been completed, and the park will welcome back thrill-seekers from 12pm to 9pm on Friday. β°
Letβs support them as they bounce back and make safety their top priority! Have fun and stay safe, everyone! π
