In a dramatic turn of events, a tenant in Caerphilly has been evicted after causing “persistent and serious disturbances”. Local residents reported severe anti-social behaviour, prompting Caerphilly Council to intervene. The eviction took place on January 8th, following a lengthy battle to curb the disruptive activities. Despite implementing a partial closure order in November 2024 and a full closure order in August 2025, disturbances continued, leading to a possession order last October. With the situation still unresolved, bailiffs and Gwent Police made the final move to restore peace in the community.

Councillor Shayne Cook emphasised, “Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own home. We aim to support tenants, but persistent nuisance leaves us no choice but to act to protect our communities.” He added that eviction is always a last resort.
