🏀 Exciting News for Cardiff! 🌳

Plans have been unveiled for a brand-new, inclusive sport and games facility at Hailey Park! After a noise complaint led to the consideration of changes, this vibrant space will soon replace the current MUGA, bringing even more fun to the park.

Located between the children’s play area and tennis courts, and just 50 metres from homes, this facility is part of a £2 million investment in Cardiff’s communities. Designed with the help of over 180 local schoolchildren, it promises something for everyone. Expect areas for football, hockey, calisthenics, rugby, netball, cricket, and even a cool catch-up spot with seating and table tennis.

Plus, there’s a central circle featuring a half-court basketball area and volleyball markings. The new facility will stay in action while the current MUGA is still in use, ensuring no pause in the fun! 🌟
Local residents were initially upset when the MUGA’s removal was announced due to the noise complaint, but there’s a positive twist: the replacement facility guarantees no loss of green space, as the original site will be returned to grass. 🌿
Cardiff Council’s Cllr Jennifer Burke shared her excitement, highlighting the importance of creating a safe and inclusive space for all children to enjoy. This project is truly a win for the community!
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development. Cardiff’s playtime just got a whole lot better! 🎉 #Cardiff #HaileyPark #CommunityFun #InclusivePlay
