π₯ Rugby Drama Alert! π₯

Racing 92’s Janick Tarrit has been handed a five-week ban after a shocking headbutt during a match against Toulouse. In a move reminiscent of Zidane’s infamous World Cup final moment, Tarrit struck Toulouse’s Efrain Elias in the chest just before half-time, earning himself an immediate red card.

The incident shook up the match, allowing Toulouse to capitalise and secure a victory with a 48-24 win. Elias even went on to score one of the five tries that sealed the game. Racing’s coach, Patrice Collazo, didn’t hold back, condemning Tarrit’s actions as a “deal-breaker” for the team.
Tarrit will be missing in action until early January, leaving Racing short-handed during the crucial closing weeks of 2025.
But that wasn’t the only drama of the day! Over at La Rochelle, Antoine Hastoy also got himself in hot water. Just 34 seconds into their game against Pau, Hastoy’s high foot caught Aaron Grandidier-Nkanang in the face, leading to a three-week suspension. Adding to the chaos, manager Ronan OβGara was sent off for losing his cool with the referee, earning himself a two-week benching.
With both players sidelined, fans are left wondering how Racing and La Rochelle will cope without their key players in the final stretch of the year. π€π
