Monday morning blues are real for over 230 homes across South Wales as power cuts have struck following severe weather. The areas feeling the pinch include Swansea, Pontypridd, Merthyr Tydfil, and Caerphilly borough. 🌧️
Here’s what’s happening:
🔌 Swansea: 27 homes without power in postcodes SA3 5LS, SA6 5QP, SA7 9EN, SA7 9JA, and SA7 9JQ. Restoration expected by 11am.
🔌 Pontypridd: A whopping 112 homes in the dark, with affected postcodes CF37 1LP, CF37 1LR, CF37 1LS, CF37 1LT, CF37 1LW, CF37 1PF, CF37 1PG, CF37 1PQ. Power’s expected back by 12pm.
🔌 Merthyr Tydfil: Just two properties are power-free at postcode CF47 8DE, with service resuming by 2pm.
🔌 Caerphilly: 92 homes affected in NP11 4SR, NP11 4SS, NP11 4SW, NP11 4SX, NP11 4SY. Back on by 10am.
These interruptions are due to what’s termed an “LV” incident (Low Voltage), meaning they are smaller and more localised. So, your neighbour might be unaffected!
Good news: National Grid is on it! They’re working hard to restore your power and apologise for any inconvenience! Keep an eye on their updates for the latest info. 🌟
