Speaking on ITV’s This Morning, Jack shared his delightful story. It all started with a chance visit to his uncle and aunt’s house in Hereford where a young Jack unexpectedly met the then Prince of Wales – coming out of the loo! “I thought, ‘This guy seems nice’,” Jack recalled. Without missing a beat, he wrote a letter asking for a job. As they say, “You don’t ask, you don’t get!”
His story is both amusing and inspiring, showing that sometimes, opportunity knocks in the most unexpected ways. Now, Highgrove’s gardens are a testament to his and others’ hard work, drawing 40,000 visitors annually who wish to see the beautiful, interlinked series of gardens reflecting King Charles’s personal passions.
