The journey to “I do” began as Jacob Bugliarello popped the question at a romantic Italian spot on 10th August. But the romance quickly turned alarming when the ring was stuck, and Iona’s finger began to swell.
Despite attempts with fairy liquid and rope (yes, rope!), the stubborn ring refused to budge. A hospital visit later, and doctors had no choice but to carefully cut the ring off to save her finger! Imagine the relief when they were told, “You just saved your finger!”
Engaged for just a few hours, Iona was already showing off her ring-less hand, sharing how everyone’s been thrilled to see the ring but had to settle for photos instead. Luckily, she hopes a jeweller can repair it soon!
The couple’s love story is absolutely adorable—they clicked instantly when they met through a mutual friend and haven’t looked back since. Though the hospital visit wasn’t planned, they’re focusing on the future, with a wedding planned for 2027 and a new home on the horizon.
