Meet Betsan Crisp all the way from Carmarthenshire! Despite the heartache of losing her father during her exams, Betsan’s resilience shone through as she achieved fantastic A-level results: an A in health and social care, a B in Welsh Baccalaureate, and a C in medical sciences. She’s all set to follow her dream of studying paramedic science at Swansea University this September. Having volunteered at Glangwili Hospital, Betsan says, “I have always wanted to help people,” and she’s on her way to doing just that! 🏥💚
Meanwhile, fellow student Trystan Lavery had a surprising journey of his own! Aiming initially for economics, Trystan excelled with As in biology, chemistry, and maths, and was pleasantly surprised with offers to study medicine at Cardiff University and Bangor University. It’s decision time for this bright young mind! 📚✨
Let’s not forget Betsan Lewis from Ysgol Maes y Gwendraeth, going for gold with an A* in both Welsh and Welsh Baccalaureate, an A in religious studies, and a B in music. She’s off to Cardiff University to study Welsh and philosophy. 🎶📖
Arwyn Thomas, the proud headteacher, celebrated the hard work and determination of all students and staff, acknowledging the incredible achievements. Kudos to the top students, including Ela Adams, Eleri Fox, and others, who bagged three or more A*/A grades! 🎉👏
Lastly, Luke Smith from Llandybie is all set for Bath University to dive into a pharmacy course, armed with an impressive A* in maths and an A in both chemistry and biology. 🧪🎓
