🎓✨ A Level Results Day 2025: Welsh Students Shine with More Top Grades! 🎉📚

Today marks a special milestone for students across Wales as they receive their A level results. Despite a slight dip in participants, over 10% of students have achieved the prestigious A* grade—up 0.4% from last year. Kudos to the hard-working students and dedicated educators!
While A grades have seen a minor decline to 29.5%, the overall pass rate remains strong at 97.5%. Maths continues its reign as the favourite subject, attracting a large number of students.

Notably, fewer 18-year-olds in Wales chose A levels this year, with a slight drop in university applications compared to a rise seen in England and Scotland. Yet, UCAS assures that a record number of university acceptances are happening across the UK, even for those who missed out on their first-choice grades.
Girls generally outperformed boys in most grade brackets, except at the very top A* level, where boys took the lead. However, the overall performance between genders remains similar.
It’s a bittersweet year as the results return to a “normal” pre-pandemic state, but they still highlight the resilience and tenacity of students adapting to the changing educational landscape.
This year also saw the release of the Level 3 Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales results, with an impressive 95.9% pass rate. This new qualification, equivalent to an A level, indicates promising academic achievements.
As we celebrate these accomplishments, Education Minister Lynne Neagle congratulates everyone, encouraging students to take pride in their hard work and look forward to future opportunities—be it higher education, apprenticeships, or employment.
Once again, congrats to all students! Whatever path you choose, wishing you all the best on your next steps. 🎓🌟 #ALevelResults #WalesEducation #FutureSuccess
