4️⃣ Behind bars during that same week in September? Sorry, you’re not eligible.
For those in care homes, there’s a catch too. If you’ve been there since 23 June and are receiving benefits like Universal Credit, it’s a no-go unless the circumstances are different.
Regarding the cap on energy bills—prices are creeping up with a slight 1% rise, moving the typical annual bill from £1,720 to £1,737. Ofgem will confirm this new cap soon. This increase is partly due to the expanded Warm Home Discount scheme, giving a £150 boost to 2.7 million more people but nudging bills up by around £15.
