Did you know the average Brit spends over four years of their life on the sofa? We’re talking about everything from binge-watching, napping, working, and even eating. But here’s the kicker – over half of us don’t bother cleaning this beloved spot unless there’s a glaring stain. 😬

According to a recent survey of 2,000 adults, 97.5 minutes per day is spent lounging on sofas – a duration that only increases when there’s a good series to binge on. While 37% of us believe the sofa is our “happy place,” surprisingly, 52% admit they rarely clean it. 🙈

Interestingly, a quarter of people love a good binge-watch session straight from the couch, and another 23% enjoy napping there regularly. Yet, with all that time spent, many don’t consider the potential smells those comfy cushions could be holding onto. About a third are conscious of their sofa’s scent, especially when guests are due, and 18% have felt embarrassed by odours in front of visitors.

What’s stopping us from giving our sofas the TLC they deserve? Well, 33% claim it’s a lack of time. Instead, they keep things tidy by setting “sofa rules” – no shoes, no jumping, and definitely no takeaways!

Maybe it’s time we rethink how we treat our trusty sofas, not just as places to sit but as central pieces of our home lives. A little attention could go a long way, especially since many of us can’t imagine a day without our favourite spot.

So, when was the last time you gave your sofa a freshen-up? 🤔 #SofaLove #CleanLiving #HomeComforts
