A 45-year-old man has been charged after a shocking incident that left another man hospitalised with stab wounds. Residents in the Aberfan area faced disruption as a section of the road was sealed off by police following the alarming event.
Police rushed to Aberfan Road on Saturday, where a 40-year-old man was discovered injured. Thankfully, his injuries are not considered life-threatening. The suspect, Robert Lloyd, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and appeared in court on Tuesday.
The stretch between the Aberfan Hotel and Station Hill saw forensic teams busy at work, investigating the scene. As you can imagine, this has stirred significant concern among locals.
