Exciting news for Swansea City fans! Vitor Matos, the boss at Swansea City, has confirmed that new signing Leo Walta is set to make his debut against Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday. Walta, a 22-year-old forward who joined on the January transfer deadline day, comes with an impressive record of 17 goals from last season with Sirius. Matos believes Walta is ready to make an impact, although he hasn’t played competitively since November.

Matos expressed excitement about adding Walta to the squad: “He’s fresh and ready to adapt to our style. He’s a key player who can operate between the lines and deliver in the final third.”

Originally arriving on a loan, it’s anticipated that Walta’s move to SA1 will become permanent at season’s end. But he’s not the only new face — Joel Ward and Gustavo Nunes also joined during a busy January window. Despite missing out on a young centre-back on deadline day, Matos is pleased with the squad’s balance and depth.
Also in the mix, Ricardo Santos will stick around after it seemed he might be leaving. Although he won’t be fit for Sunday, Matos suggests the Cape Verde international could rejoin the lineup soon. Meanwhile, young talent Bobby Wales has been loaned to Huddersfield Town in a bid to gain valuable playing time.
Stay tuned as the Swans aim to bring a thrilling game this weekend! 🎉⚽️
