Swansea City had an eventful transfer window as seven players were on the move! 🤝 Deadline day kept the Swans’ team on their toes, finalising one key signing and navigating a few unexpected turns.

In the lead-up to the deadline, they managed to bring in Joel Ward on a free transfer and secured Gustavo Nunes on loan from Brentford. Additionally, Leo Walta joined in from IK Sirius on loan, adding fresh energy to the squad.

Though the club aimed to boost their defence further by eyeing Chelsea’s Harrison Murray-Campbell, the deal didn’t cross the finish line due to a late block. On the flip side, Ricardo Santos, who was anticipated to leave, remains part of the team, lending some additional defensive cover.
As for departures, Manuel Benson made his way to Maccabi Haifa for an undisclosed fee, while Kaelan Casey’s loan spell was ended as he returned to West Ham United/Leyton Orient. Josh Thomas and Bobby Wales have also left on loan to Derry City and Huddersfield Town, respectively.
Vitor Matos now has a clear vision of his squad for the rest of the season with these exciting changes!
