Authorities advise steering clear of the area as roads surrounding the roundabout are impassable. Traffic has been redirected, with vehicles advised to take Pentregethin Road instead. Police and council workers are on the scene tending to the issue, but expect some time before the water fully recedes and normal service resumes.
Swansea Council pinpointed the blocked culvert near the recently demolished Cwmfelin social club as the main culprit for the floods. While repairs are underway, the council warns that further heavy rain might overwhelm even the temporary measures, leading to additional closures.
