🚨 Shocking Crime in Cardiff! 🚨

An alarming incident has rocked Cardiff involving two young men from Bristol. Efekan Karahan, 18, and Ashley Corbin, 21, launched a terrifying attack, targeting a family home in a drugs-related dispute.

The duo, members of a rival organised crime gang, intended to send a menacing message. Karahan, masked and armed with a loaded shotgun, fired twice through the letterbox of a home, where a 15-year-old boy, innocently making coffee, was struck in the legs. Fortunately, a metal cage behind the letterbox shielded the boy from potentially fatal injuries.

On 7 June, the pair drove to Cardiff in a stolen vehicle, where Corbin filmed the shooting. They fled the scene, leaving behind a trail of CCTV evidence and DNA that ultimately led to their arrest.
The victim, while on crutches and deeply shaken, shared his harrowing experience, describing it as the most frightening moment of his life. Although he was injured, he bravely recounted the incident, highlighting the horror of being shot in his own home.
The swift response from the police and strong evidence gathered led to the arrest and conviction of the two perpetrators. Karahan received a sentence of over eight years while Corbin was sentenced to six years.
Authorities remind everyone that gun violence will not be tolerated, and any attempt to bring firearms into our communities will be met with relentless pursuit by law enforcement. Let’s hope this dreadful event acts as a wake-up call for anyone involved in crime. Stay safe, Cardiff. 💪🏻🔒 #CrimeAlert #CardiffNews #JusticeServed
