🔪🚂 Shocking train attack: “I thought I was next” 😨

Imagine sitting on a train, headphones in, when chaos erupts. That’s exactly what happened to Amira Ostalski, a student from Nottingham, during a horrifying incident on a train from Doncaster to London. She found herself in the middle of a terrifying scene as a fellow passenger was stabbed just a few rows in front of her.
“I saw him fly out of his seat. People started screaming ‘run!’ I was petrified,” Amira shares. She grabbed a metal tray to shield herself and her friend in a desperate bid for safety, fearing for her life.

As panic gripped the carriage, Amira and her friend dashed into another section, warning others to hide. The attacker, a mere two metres away at one point, seemed unstoppable. But quick emergency responses from passengers ensured police were alerted, and the train made an emergency stop at Huntingdon station. The nightmare wasn’t over even as they evacuated—Amira saw the suspect leap a fence and head towards them. Relief finally came when police swiftly detained him.
Amongst the chaos and bravery stood a true hero, Samir Zitouni, an LNER crew member who risked his own safety to protect others. He remains critically unwell, but his courage hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The horrifying ordeal left scars on all who lived through it. Amira says she is now more cautious about using public transport. As investigations continue, the suspect faces serious charges, including attempted murder.
