Imagine boarding your flight, only to find a cracked window right next to your seat! That’s exactly what happened to Aaron Greaves, 32, on his Ryanair flight from Manchester to Ibiza. Aaron was shocked to find a crack in the window pane, causing quite the stir onboard.
Passengers were understandably nervous, and no one wanted to sit near the crack. Aaron even snapped a photo of himself poking a finger through the plastic cover! Concerned, he asked the crew about it. The Ryanair staff reassured everyone, explaining that an engineer had checked the window and confirmed it was safe.
Aaron shared, “Everyone was scared, and I only noticed the crack after I opened the window. The crew told us it was structurally sound but didn’t explain how it happened. I was pretty worried, but it all worked out in the end.”
Turns out, it wasn’t part of the actual window but just a plastic cover meant to protect it from scratches. Ryanair later confirmed the damage and stated that the window reveal had since been replaced.
